Το Don’t Panic Puppet Theatre δημιουργεί παραστάσεις που διαμορφώνονται μέσα από γκροτέσκο χιούμορ, οπτική αφήγηση, punk ενέργεια και θεατρικό πειραματισμό. Κινούμενη ανάμεσα στο κουκλοθέατρο, το σωματικό θέατρο, τον θεατρικό κλόουν και τις μορφές visual performance, η ομάδα αντιμετωπίζει το θέατρο ως μια συνάντηση ανάμεσα σε σώματα, υλικά, χώρο και κοινό.

Για εμάς, το κουκλοθέατρο δεν είναι μια σταθερή τεχνική αλλά ένα πεδίο πειραματισμού. Ένας τρόπος να παραμορφώνουμε αντικείμενα, κλίμακες και αντιλήψεις, χτίζοντας μια ωμή θεατρική γλώσσα όπου η σκληρότητα και το χιούμορ συνυπάρχουν.

Αντλώντας επιρροές από την underground κουλτούρα - horror cinema, exploitation films, σκοτεινά comics και science fiction - η δουλειά μας εξερευνά το πώς η απόλαυση και η βία, το χιούμορ και η αμηχανία, μπορούν να κατοικούν στον ίδιο χώρο.

Οι παραστάσεις μας γεννιούνται μέσα από DIY πρακτικές, ζωντανό χειρισμό και low-tech θεατρικούς μηχανισμούς που αποκαλύπτουν, αντί να κρύβουν, την κατασκευή τους. Μας ελκύουν εύθραυστες, χειροποίητες μορφές όπου τα αντικείμενα αντιστέκονται στον έλεγχο, το φως και ο ήχος μετατρέπονται σε ζωντανό σκηνικό εργαλείο και το απρόβλεπτο παραμένει ορατό.

Το έργο μας εξερευνά ασταθείς σχέσεις ανάμεσα σε ανθρώπινα και μη ανθρώπινα σώματα, την εμψύχωση και την αυτονομία, τον performer και τον θεατή. 

Το θέατρο γίνεται ένας κοινός χώρος έντασης, οικειότητας και ρίσκου. 

Προσωρινό, εκτεθειμένο και επικίνδυνα ζωντανό.

Don’t Panic Puppet Theatre creates performances shaped by grotesque humor,  

visual storytelling, punk energy and theatrical experimentation. 

Working across puppetry, physical theatre, clowning and visual performance,  

the company approaches theatre as a charged encounter  

between bodies, materials, space and audience. 

For us, puppetry is not a fixed technique but a field of experimentation.  

A way to distort objects, scale and perception,  

constructing a raw theatrical language where harshness and humor coexist. 

Drawing influence from underground culture - horror cinema, exploitation films,  

dark comics and science fiction - our work explores  

how pleasure and violence, humor and unease, can inhabit the same space. 

Our performances emerge through DIY practice,  

live manipulation and low-tech theatrical mechanisms  

that expose rather than conceal their construction.  

We are drawn to fragile, handmade forms where objects resist control,  

light and sound become performative matter and unpredictability remains visible. 

Our work examines unstable relationships between human and non-human bodies,  

manipulation and autonomy, performer and spectator.  

Theatre becomes a shared space of tension, intimacy and risk.  

Temporary, exposed and dangerously alive.
